Our Mission

Our mission at Duty to Care is threefold:

• Raise Awareness: We aim to shed light on the issue of law enforcement agencies, judicial bodies and governments' handling of domestic, family, and sexual violence cases, particularly those involving children. We advocate for the recognition of children as victims in their own right.

• Influence Policy Change: We advocate for clear and enforceable policies that ensure law enforcement agencies, judicial bodies and others recognise and uphold their duty of care to children in domestic, family, and sexual violence situations.

• Support Survivors: We strive to provide resources and support for victim-survivors of domestic, family and sexual violence, particularly children.
